| The area where Apartment Oktogon is located (VI district, Opera, Andrassy av.) is famous for shopping, restaurants, theaters and clubs. Opera House, Moulin Rouge, Operette Theater are closeby and furthermore all Budapest attractions such as Heroes' Square, Parliament, Spas, Cafes, Buda Hill, Chain Bridge are within walking distance. The closest monument is Hungarian State Opera House built by one of the most famous Hungarian architect, Miklós Ybl. You can visit the Opera House with the guided tours that allow you to see the frescoed walls, magnificent auditorium for 1200 persons and backstage machinery. From September till July, each day there is a performance, in August you can take part in the Budapest Opera and Ballet Festival and at the end of the year you can enjoy opera ball and New Year's concert. |
