Standard working
hours in Budapest, are generally from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday
to Friday.
Banks are open
from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to
1:00 pm on Fridays and are closed on Saturdays. Post offices are
open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday. The post offices
at the Keleti and the Nyugati Railway Stations are open until 9:00
pm Monday to Saturday.
Shops in Budapest
are normally open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and from
10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. Shopping malls and many supermarkets
are open till 8:00-10:00 pm. Food stores are open from 7:00 am to
7:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
On Sundays only non-stop shops and large shopping centres are open.
Most museums
are open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday to Saturday and are closed
on Mondays. Thermal baths usually operate from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm
on weekdays and from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends.
Buses, trolley
buses, trams and underground trains usually operate from 4:30 am
to 11:00 pm. There are also 30 night buses.
