In
Budapest voltage is 220 volts/50Hz and plugs are of the two-pin
European type (so-called europlugs). Electrical equipment of 110V/60Hz
requires the use of an adapter and/or voltage converter to fit Hungarian
sockets. These can be bought at any hardware store. Modern equipment,
such as PC notebooks and laptops, work equally well on both currents,
although we suggest you to check operating instructions before travelling.
