Over 200 bus
routes throughout the city provide a fast, frequent way to get around.
Offering an all-night service that operate on the major thoroughfares
in the city (night bus timetables are posted at stops and in most
metro stations). There is an express service on some routes, and
such express buses with red numbering travel the same route as the
normal ones (numbered in black), but cut out the minor stops. The
super express buses travel without stopping between and may be recognized
by red numbering followed by a red letter E.
Tickets are
available at newsstands, some tobacco shops, ticket offices and
vending machines. Do note, if you buy the Budapest Card it provides
unlimited 2 or 3 day travel on the entire public transport network.
If no one is
waiting at the stop and no one has signaled an intention to alight,
the bus will pass by the stop. On the bus you have to validate your
ticket by using the punching machines as you board. Don't forget
to push a button next to the door if you want to get off.

from the Airport
The Airport
Minibus, which leaves every 15-30 minutes from the airport, will
take you to any destination within Budapest. Seat reservation is
not necessary, but you can reserve a seat in advance by phone (+36-1)
296 8555 (Info-Desk at Terminal 2).

There is also
bus no. 93, which is cheaper. When exiting the airport, turn to
the right from Terminal A, or left from Terminal B, to find the
bus stop that says BKV Plusz Reptér busz. The bus stops at
the airport every 30 minutes, from 4:55 am to 11:20 pm, and goes
to Kobánya-Kispest metro station (blue line).
